Position Overview:

Location:
- Alexandria, VA (on-site)
- Perform travel and relocation compliance audits, including executive (Board/SSP) travel reviews, ensuring adherence to agency policies, timely processing, and resolution of non-compliant expenses.
- Manage and support the agency travel card program, including card issuance, transaction issue resolution, delinquency monitoring, and customer support for cardholders.
- Conduct financial and data analysis on travel expenses and travel card activity to identify trends, anomalies, cost-saving opportunities, and policy deviations; develop recurring and ad hoc reports for management.
- Execute financial reconciliations and reporting, including bi-weekly and monthly reconciliation of budget reports, general ledger, and subsidiary ledgers, and support month-end close activities.
- Perform relocation-related financial activities, including accrual analysis and reconciliation of relocation disbursements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, gather supporting documentation, and present findings and recommendations to leadership.
- Support program improvements and policy development, including documenting procedures and contributing to travel, relocation, and financial management initiatives
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum education required is a Bachelor's degree or 24 hours of post-secondary education.
- 3-5 years of experience with travel and/or relocation programs in a federal government environment.
- Experience researching and analyzing travel data using qualitative and quantitative analytical methods and technological tools.
- Experience performing analysis to identify travel or relocation issues and prepare reports to support findings.
- Ability to interpret the Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) for both travel and relocation policies and uses knowledge to provide recommendations to NCUA’s travel and relocation policy on an ongoing basis.
- Intermediate skills in MS Excel, including pivot tables, formula functions, data validation, and worksheet formatting; and proficiency with other MS Office applications (such as creating formatted documents in Word, developing presentations in PowerPoint, and managing email and calendars in Outlook), as well as Adobe Acrobat for creating, editing, and assembling PDF documents needed to support reports and deliverables.
- Ability to design, write and disseminate a variety of technical reports involving highly complex raw data and analysis.
- Ability to prepare written reports, briefing materials, and presentation content, including visually engaging graphs and charts that clearly communicate analytical results of travel and relocation trends and support data-driven decision making.
